Indonesia Water Building Competition (KBAI) 2017 is successfully held, at the Closing Ceremony, Thursday (4 / May / 2017), 3 out of 10 participants succeeded in winning this premiere event. Dean of  Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB), Dr. Ir. Pitojo Tri Juwono, MT, attended the Auditorium Prof. Ir. Suryono, FT Building 2nd Floor along with the Juries, leaders and lecturers of Water Resources Engineering Department , and of course the participants.

The night is owned by the team from Bandung Institute of Technology (Kuya Envi) who won 1st place and Best Presentation. Followed by Brawijaya University Team (Punggawa 64), and Ayuthaya from Universitas Indonesia as the 3rd Winner of the best model. First to Third winners each received prizes of Seven Million, Five Million, and Three Million Rupiah, while award winning prize got One Million Rupiah.
Beginning in February, dozens of teams have submitted competition proposals to the committee, with 10 teams selected to compete in the Final Round.
10 Team Selected as finalists include: Bandung Institute of Technology (Kuya Envi), Brawijaya University (Punggawa 64), State University of Malang (Spider Excavator), Bandung State Polytechnic (Nadindra Dewa), Bandung National Institute of Technology (Diadikasia), Bandung Institute of Technology (Amreta Naraya), Gajah Mada University (Tim A), Pakuan Bogor University (Uncal Team), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (Creat10N), University of Indonesia (Ayuthaya).
The first day of this 3 day activity begins with a Presentation Session. Participants were asked to present their work in front of the jury, including three-dimensional modeling. Furthermore, Participants are invited to join in sight seeing around Malang Raya region to tourist objects that are closely related to the planning of residential areas on river banks such as Kampung Wisata Jodipan. The third day, committee held a gala dinner and at the same time the announcement of winners and closing ceremony of KBAI.
