Taking the theme of “Water Harvesting for Agriculture Development Toward Climate Changes and Food Security in Indonesia”  took place in the Hall of Prof. Ir. Suryono Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB). Attending the opening of that morning’s event UB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Bisri, MS., Wednesday (3 / May / 2017).

“IHE-Delft alumni present today like Prof. Suhardjono and Ir. Abdul Aziz Hoesein are the one who gave color to the progress of FT until now. I hope to see more contribution from the next generation alumni!” said the FTUB Dean, Dr. Pitojo Tri Juwono, MT welcomed the participant of seminar initiated by the IHE-Delft Alumni.

The event then continued with the presentation and discussions sessions held at the Department of Water Resources Engineering. The material presented are Introduction to Water Harvesting by Dr. Ir. F.X. Suryadi, MSc, Potential of swamp lands for irrigation development in Indonesia by Prof. Suhadjono, Dipl. HE, and The Projection Water Projects in Indonesia by Adecar.

Also discussed in the event, IHE Delft Alumni Network led by Sorrento. According to him, UNESCO-IHE is a means to strengthen the efforts of other universities and research centers in improving and developing studies and skills in the water sector. Thus the stronger the network built, the greater the influence that can be felt by the community.

At the end of event The Head of Department of Water Resources Engineering Ir. Moh. Sholichin, MT, Ph.D then handed the vandal of appreciation to the representative from IHE-Delft before closing the one day seminar
